Unknown to many as underpublicized, the 21st of September is Zero Emissions Day. It is a day when we are challenged to live just one day by where we do not engage in any activity where we emit any carbon emissions. Directly or indirectly, this is a pretty impossible task but what we can do, is to try and live a day where we have as little carbon impact upon the planet as possible.
Climate change is one of the greatest threats to our planet and it presents serious dangers to populations throughout the developed and developing world. Rising sea levels, floods, crop failure, loss in biodiversity, extreme weather and many other consequences of climate change are putting people and the planet on a dangerous tipping point and it is clear that we have to slow down and reverse the process for the safety of present and future generations to come.
